COR-Energy autonomous refueling complex officially opened

On September 17, Ukraine’s first energy-efficient gas station complex was officially opened on the Kyiv-Chernihiv highway, near the village of Kalynivka (Brovarsky district, Kyiv region). COR-Energy solutions were used in the project engineering and construction of this new generation fuel station. Read on to learn more about the innovative technologies implemented at the COR-Energy fuel station.

Our own solar power station — the heart of the complex

The basis of the complex is a hybrid solar power station (SPS), which is mounted in the form of a canopy with 432 solar panels instead of a roof. Its total capacity is 180 kW, with a capacity of up to 500 kW/hour. The SES powers two high-speed charging stations, allowing eight electric vehicles to be charged simultaneously via CCS 2, GB/T DC, Type 2, and CHAdeMO connectors, as well as powering the entire infrastructure of the complex.

Currently, it is the only filling station in Ukraine capable of charging electric vehicles solely using solar energy without connecting to the grid in the spring, summer, and fall. Overall, COR-Energy not only covers 90% of its utility costs, but also charges cars and sells surplus energy to the grid. For example, in August alone, the solar station generated 30,561 kWh, of which 11,704 kWh was sold, with the rest going to charge cars and meet the gas station’s own needs.

Geothermal pumps for autonomous heating and cooling

Another solution for energy autonomy is two 45 kW geothermal heat pumps, which will heat the premises, ensuring complete autonomy during the heating season. Geothermal heat pumps use the stable temperature of the ground to provide thermal comfort in any season. Such pumps are an expensive solution, but the costs of maintaining the building are significantly lower. Thanks to the pumps, it is possible to cool the premises passively during the summer, without any air conditioning costs.

Classic fuel and comfort for visitors

In addition to charging electric vehicles, COR-Energy gas stations offer traditional types of fuel and autogas from reliable suppliers in Germany, Romania, and Croatia. There are 10 modern fuel dispensers on the premises.

If necessary, the complex can serve as a “Point of Resilience,” providing customers with access to heat, light, and communications. In addition, the COR-Energy complex infrastructure includes:

  • 52 parking spaces,
  • a modern fire protection solution – two artificial reservoirs, where you can relax after a long journey,
  • and a SuGuard restaurant offering balanced meals.

The COR-Energy concept also includes the creation of an Australian blue crayfish farm.

The COR-Energy gas station is located at:

Kalinivka village, Brovarsky district, Kyiv region (Kyiv–Chernihiv highway, 28 km + 900 m)
